About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced, result driven, automotive professional to join our management team, reporting to the General Sales manager. We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic and persuasive; who performs well in a structured environment and follows direction; who is helpful and positive toward assisting others; who ensures reports also follow process; who provides first rate customer experiences.

The Sales Manager will provide a high level of leadership while coaching, supporting and encouraging sales staff to achieve results. You will monitor customers, manage and direct sales staff while focusing on volume and gross targets. You will promote a culture that is positive and high performing.

Major Responsibilities:

·         Producing revenue for the dealership through sales of new and used vehicles

·         Supporting Product Advisors by reviewing worksheets, negotiating/closing sales transactions and assisting them with customer interactions

·         Building rapport with clients and conducting business in a positive customer-centric manner

·         Understanding customer needs and qualifying them based on their individual requirements

·         Mentoring, guiding and coaching Product Advisors while providing assistance to ensure they fully complete their daily activities and follow-up tasks, before the end of each shift

·         Overseeing personnel to enhance dealerships image & customer satisfaction, along with monitoring productivity plus evaluating and directing activities of department staff

·         Valuing/appraising prospective trade-in and buy-in vehicles

·         Utilizing CRM tools for prospecting and follow-up, plus traffic management software to ensure business is conducted in accordance with dealership procedures

·         Ensuring high CSI and delivery standards are conducted to achieve & surpass manufacturer guidelines

·         Producing additional revenue by promoting and selling Honda accessories and aftermarket add-ons

·         Working closely with Financial Services to ensure smooth completion of the sales and delivery process

·         Ensuring all paperwork is accurate, completed in a timely manner and processed as required

·         Following direction and undertaking all tasks enthusiastically in support of dealership goals

·         Completing required training and job knowledge within allotted times; attend seminars to keep up to date with current programs

·         Following all company and manufacturer policies, directives and procedures and abiding by governmental & VSA licencing rules.

·         Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

·         Applicants must have minimum of 3 years automotive sales experience

·         Have experience in operating a new vehicle dealership sales department

·         A proven ability to train, motivate and manage a car sales team

·         Be a dynamic self-starter, detail focused, extremely well organized with excellent multitasking skills

·         A strong desire and ability to out perform goals and objectives

·         Have a personable, courteous & outgoing nature along with strong work ethic

·         Exceptional customer service and satisfaction characteristics

·         Solid command of the English language and very strong communication skills

·         An intrinsic knowledge of automotive CRM & DMS systems

Automotive Product Advisor

Job Description

Pacific Honda sells, leases and finances an extensive selection of new and used automobiles with established benchmark quality. The Position:

We are currently recruiting individuals to join our well-established Sales Team, to sell new & pre-owned vehicles. Our Sales Team is a dynamic group of individuals with a diverse background. We have been voted the North Shore's Favourite Car Dealership for over 10 years in a row, and are proud to represent the Honda brand.

About the job:

·         Achieve New & Used vehicle sales targets

·         Welcome customers in the dealership showroom / on the lot

·         Review client needs and present vehicle features & benefits accordingly

·         Take clients on test drives

·         Review payment options for vehicles & sell lease/finance payments

·         Sell vehicle accessories (both Honda & aftermarket)

·         Endorse the Financial Services Department by recommending additional protection options to clients (eg. Extended Warranties & Environmental Protection Packages.)

·         Assist customers when they are picking up their vehicle

·         Maintain contact with clients who have purchased vehicles to ensure continued satisfaction

·         Prospect for new business/build referral business for future sales

·         Follow up with prospects via phone/email/text/in person meetings

·         Attend sales meetings

·         Additional duties as required.

 

Our ideal candidate has:

·         A friendly, customer-focused attitude

·         A broad understanding of the automotive industry

·         Some experience in sales and customer service (does not have to be in the automotive industry)

·         Good listening skills and the ability to build rapport with people

·         A valid Class 5 BC Driver's license with no restrictions.

 

Additional Qualifications:

·         VSA license (*can be obtained upon hiring.)

·         All applicants must be proficient in English (oral and written). Bilingualism considered an asset.

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills

·         Computer skills (Microsoft office, Internet browsers [Chrome, Internet Explorer & Firefox,)

·         Good typing skills.
